2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. When you access the website, Cloudflare may process technical connection data such as your IP address, date and time of access, requested resource, referrer URL, browser and operating system. This processing is necessary to deliver the website, maintain its stability and security, and prevent misuse. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are the secure and reliable provision of this website.

Cloudflare's data processing agreement incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers to third countries.

3. Privacy-friendly analytics with Umami

We use Umami Cloud, provided by Umami Software, Inc., to understand how this website is used. The account is configured to use Umami's European cloud region. Umami processes anonymized usage data such as page views, referrer URLs, browser, operating system, device type and country of origin. The tracker does not use cookies and we do not use session replay, heatmaps or custom event tracking. Analytics data is deleted after six months.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the privacy-friendly analysis and improvement of this website. We use Umami under a data processing agreement accepted as part of the service terms.

4. Contact by email

The website does not currently provide a contact form. If you contact us by email, we process your email address, the content of your message and any other information you provide solely to answer and handle your enquiry. Our email is hosted by TrafficPlex GmbH, which operates the lima-city service.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual enquiries and Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries. Our legitimate interest is responding to messages addressed to us. Email records are deleted after six months unless a longer retention period is required to fulfil contractual or statutory obligations.

We have entered into a data processing agreement with TrafficPlex GmbH/lima-city.

5. Recipients and international data transfers

The recipients of personal data are limited to the Heralded team and the service providers named above where this is required to operate the website, provide analytics or host email. Cloudflare and Umami are providers based in the United States. Where data may be processed outside the European Economic Area, the contractual safeguards described above apply.

6. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have the right to access your personal data, request rectification or erasure, restrict processing, receive data you provided in a portable format and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for private-sector organisations in Baden-Württemberg is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg.

7. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
